Combining wood with stone is a perfect symbiosis of nature to me. This piece offered had onl one void so I wanted the color to be subtle and I chose Amber.\u003cbr\u003e\nThe inlayed void in this urn is natural, I never add voids to the wood. If you look closely at the lines in the wood you can see it.  On top I have put a piece of Amber which matches perfectly on top.\u003c\/p\u003e \n\n\u003cp\u003eThe result is a beautiful tribute to a life of someone who loved nature.\u003c\/p\u003e \n\n\u003cp\u003eAnd for some technical details:\u003cbr\u003e\nAfter sanding up to 800 grid the urn is finished with clear high gloss acrylic laquer. The ring in the opening of the urn is made of Laburnum. The lid is also made of Black Locust burl.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThis wood is reclaimed from near my shop. Please keep it out of direct sunlight, don’t place it near a heating source.
