The base of the lid is also made of Dutch Elm. \u003cbr\u003e\nAfter sanding up to 800 grid the urn is finished with high gloss acrylic lacquer. All the wood I use for my work is reclaimed from near my shop, resulting in a very sustainable piece of art. Please keep it out of direct sunlight, don't place it near a heating source.
