This urn is made from a piece of Cherry burl. It is a very old piece. The wood has all kind of contrasts in it and unique figuring. And the warm sunny glow of Cherry is a joy as well. Every side of this urn is exciting to look at. I inlayed the natural voids with blue minerals. For the lid I used a stunning piece of bookmatched cherry. In this bookmatched piece I saw a butterfly hiding. I liberated this beautiful butterfly and it now sits proud on top of the urn.
